Live Between the Dots in the New Year: 7 Tips

The end of one year morphs into a new one by the simple passing of time. Days slip by all year, but when the passing of days end one thing and begin another, they are noteworthy.

 

Your life is a line, not a dot.
Your life line is made up of segments of time – spaces between 2 dots where time passes. You live your life in these segments with your to-do lists, goals, responsibilities, dreams, plans, ministry, etc. Segments of time are:

  • Seasons
  • Months
  • Weeks
  • Days
  • Minutes.

The Droplet in My Garden

This week, early on a cool, quiet morning, I was having my quiet time with the Lord on my front porch. It rained the night before. Everything was fresh.

With a mug of coffee, my Bible, and pen jotting in my journal – I noticed something in my peripheral vision. Plants in the garden were “moving.” Every few minutes, ever-so slightly. Yet, enough to catch my attention. Not the steady, tender sway from the slight breeze.

Where Are You on the Spectrum of Global Ministry?

There are 2 focuses you can have on this globe: eternal and temporary. Everyone must address daily temporary issues (food, clothes, bills, plans, chores, etc.). Yet, eternal issues are critical. People exist somewhere on the spectrum – endless combinations – between these ideas. God cares about both focuses. The life of Christ proves it. But He “super cares” about eternal.
