Some years ago, I came across a helpful tool that not only changed how I think, but it has become a “go to” resource for me. It’s called the Universes of Values Chart. *
Most of the time, you are able to distinguish between friend and foe. Sometimes, however, you aren’t so sure. It takes time to figure out people and relationships. So, give your relationships time. Be wise and exercise discernment as you explore the parameters that will define each situation. Meanwhile, however, you can genuinely care about each person in the same way God does. That means caring about their salvation, as well as their physical life.
Did you know that your mind-set affects everything? Big stuff. Small stuff. Short-term. And especially long-term. What has your mind-set been these days? Do you know what a superhero mindset is?
Sooner or later, a person comes face to face with their weaknesses and limitations. If they don’t face them, they may be living in a fantasy world in attempts to survive. Or perhaps they have given in to deceptive compromises. Or they may have become hardened. None of these promote healthy living. There is one approach that really helps.
